The Center For Environmental Health says that Pepsi continues to sell sodas made with4-methylimidazole, or 4-MEI, which was ruled a carcinogen in 2012 by the state of California. The nonprofit group reported that Pepsi sold inside California had been reformulated to obey state rules regarding the substance, however, drinks sold outside the state continue to include higher amounts of 4-MEI, which helps to give cola drinks their caramel hue. On the other hand, the Center found little to no 4-MEI in Coca-Cola which has switched to a modified caramel coloring.

Wal-Mart Stores (NYSE:WMT): Closing price $76.61
Two inside sources within Wal-Mart’s Indian division say that it is unlikely to apply for its first retail store license before March of 2015. The unit has said that it needs a further 12 to 18 months after gaining government approval to open each store, which means that its first retail outlet in India would open in 2016 at the earliest. Meanwhile, its local partner in an existing wholesale business Bharti Enterprises, is rethinking its commitment to their joint venture, because of the heavy investment requirement and remote prospects for early returns, said four sources with direct knowledge of the matter.

CBS Corp. (NYSE: CBS): Closing price $50.80
On Monday, CBS and Netflix announced an extension of its multiyear licensing arrangement for select CBS library content streamed instantly to Netflix customers. Through the revised terms, new titles like L.A. Complex, 4400, and CSI: NY will be available to Netflix subscribers. Financials of the transaction were not reported.
