Knowledgeable sources say that Yahoo is in serious talks to purchase Xobni, which produces address book applications and plugins, adding that the two firms have been talking for some while, but a deal seems more imminent now. Xobni could complement Yahoo’s mail and productivity tools, as it creates automated profiles for email contacts, along with correspondence history and social network data.

SodaStream International (NASDAQ:SODA): Current price $72.03
Following a meeting with SodaStream management, Citigroup elevated its price target for SodaStream shares from $66 to $82, and maintains a Buy. Citi believes that SodaStream’s products will increase at a more rapid rate than was previously expected because of expanding markets and new products intros. The firm notes that management said “no comment” concerning recent merger headlines, and also chatter involving PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP). Thus far, SodaStream Chief Executive Indra Noyi has denied all such rumors.

Gaming Partners International Corporation (NASDAQ:GPIC): Current price $8.03
The provider of casino currency and table gaming equipment Gaming Partners said Friday that it has acquired certain assets of privately-held The Blue Chip Company, which makes compression-molded gaming chips. This transaction forms part of GPIC’s previously-reported strategy to utilize its strong cash position
to buy companies, products or technologies to allow it to increase its product offerings.
